Wine Appreciation Group: There will be a visit to Amber Valley Vineyards, Wessington on Sunday, August 30th at 2.00 pm. The cost, for a 90 minute tour, is £25 per person. To book a place please contact Molly Murfitt on 01773 570994
Scrabble group: After much careful consideration Amy Eaton has reluctantly decided that due to falling numbers the Scrabble group cannot continue. If, in the future, members would like to join the group, Amy is willing to be the leader so please get in touch if you are interested.
Art Appreciation Group: Wednesday 26th August 2026- York Art Gallery. Exhibition- Aesthetica — Art Prize 2026. Returns celebrating the twentieth year as a national international platform for contemporary art.
The exhibition showcases incredible talent from shortlist contemporary artists from around the globe all working according to different art forms. The mixed media approach will create a visually striking display that sits alongside the others range of historic, modern and contemporary works currently on show inside the gallery. This year’s themes include, environment and our relationship in the past and present, global identity and culture as well as health and wellbeing in the modern age.
Book tickets— Senior Adults- 65+ £8-10- If £8-90, Art Fund member free.

The next meeting of the group will be a planning meeting which will take place on Monday 3rd August at 2.00 pm at Waingroves Methodist Church. Please think of any places you would like to visit and we can discuss these at the meeting.
Art Group - the new art group has now settled in and is looking to recruit new members. Please come along and join this friendly group, tuition is available. Every Tuesday in Waingroves Methodist Church from 3:15 to 5:30pm.
Chatty Crafts - we are hoping to start an additional, informal craft/hobby group where members can bring along their work, share ideas and learn new skills with others in a relaxed atmosphere.
