The Crown Green Bowls Group

This Group is open to current members of Ripley u3a and Belper u3a.
Crown Green Bowls is a sport that can be enjoyed by almost everyone, whatever their age or level of physical fitness. It is a welcoming, social activity and a great way to enjoy some fresh air, exercise and to increase your fitness and wellbeing.
The new Crown Green Bowls Group will meet on Tuesday mornings at:
Denby Bowls Club, Denby Institute, Derby Road, Denby, DE5 8RD from 10.30am - 12.30pm starting on Tuesday 7th April 2026.
Bowls can be provided (at no extra cost).
Coaching available for beginners (at no extra cost).
Bring your own food & drinks, if required.
Flat shoes or trainers only please.
Toilets available.
Cost £2.50 per session (this covers the use of the green for 2 hours).

There are regular bus services from Ripley or car parking is available at the Denby Institute free of charge.

Denby Bowls Club is located at the Denby Institute and Recreational Ground, off Derby Road, in Denby. The Club is close to John Flamsteed Community school.
